Sound Settings

Configure notification sounds in FanDesk.

Sound Types

Sound Files

FanDesk includes distinct sounds:

• DM sound — Gentle chime
• Mention sound — Attention-getting tone
• Channel sound — Subtle notification
• Call sound — Ringing (loops 3x)

Configuring Sounds

1. Go to Settings > Notifications
2. Find Sound Notifications section
3. Configure:

Master Toggle

• Sound Enabled — On/Off for all sounds

Per-Type Toggles

• DM sounds
• Mention sounds
• Channel sounds
• Task sounds
• Email sounds

Volume Control

• Slider from 0-100%
• Preview by clicking test button

Default Settings

Out of the box:

• Sound enabled: Yes
• DM sounds: On
• Mention sounds: On
• Channel sounds: Off (too noisy)
• Volume: 50%

Tips

In Meetings

• Toggle sounds off temporarily
• Or use Do Not Disturb status

Focus Time

• Channel sounds off
• Keep DM/mention sounds on

Shared Spaces

• Lower volume
• Or use headphones
