The Command Palette

The command palette (Ctrl+K) is the fastest way to do anything in FanDesk:

Search Tips

  • Drive search — Just start typing a file name
  • Navigation — Type section names like "calendar" or "projects"
  • Actions — Type "new" to see creation options

Sidebar Navigation

The sidebar can be collapsed to give you more screen space:

  • Click the collapse button at the bottom
  • Hover over icons to see tooltips
  • Click any icon to navigate

Main Navigation (1-8) The 8 core features of FanDesk, accessible via number shortcuts.

Secondary Navigation

  • People — Team directory and contacts
  • Incidents — Incident management (if you have access)

User Section

  • Your avatar with status indicator
  • Click to change status, access settings, or log out

Status Indicators

Throughout FanDesk, you'll see status indicators:

Quick Actions

Many items in FanDesk have quick actions on hover:

  • Tasks — Mark complete, change status, edit
  • Messages — React, reply in thread, pin
  • Files — Star, share, download
  • Emails — Archive, star, categorize

Mobile Navigation

On smaller screens:

  • The sidebar collapses into a hamburger menu
  • Tap the menu icon to access navigation
  • Swipe gestures work in many areas
