Guest Users

Invite external collaborators with limited access to FanDesk.

What Guests Can Access

FeatureAccess
ChatInvited channels only
PagesShared pages only
ProjectsInvited projects

Inviting Guests

  1. Go to Settings > Team (admin only)
  2. Click Invite Guest
  3. Enter email address
  4. Set access duration (e.g., 30 days)
  5. Send invitation

Guest Restrictions

Guests cannot:

  • See all channels (only invited ones)
  • Start DMs with anyone
  • Access email, calendar, or drive
  • See the full team directory
  • Create public content

Guest Badge

Guests are marked with a "Guest" badge:

  • In team directory
  • In chat member lists
  • On their profile

Managing Guests

Extend Access

If a guest needs more time:

  1. Go to guest's profile
  2. Click Extend Access
  3. Add more days

Revoke Access

  1. Go to guest's profile
  2. Click Revoke Access
  3. Guest immediately loses access

Guest Expiry

Guests have automatic expiry:

  • Set when invited
  • Countdown shown in profile
  • Access removed at expiry
  • Data preserved for audit
